A little behind in my posting, but not much going on here these days, so let’s see. Oh, I know there’s one on top here.
Someone asked me what have I done with my life?
I will put aside my Jesuit training to answer a question with a question, for now it annoys people and I don’t want to annoy anyone. So let’s see.
Graduated in the top percentage of my class. As a Marine officer watched an embassy about to be overrun and thought about all the wasted lives, and if one of my men would be the last one lost. Did a little marketing, a few bonus earned some money, good with stocks, but did not like the way people were used up. Never could get into the “Me” generation mode, so I looked in the mirror one day and not liking what my life had become throw it away. Took a government job, again in the top of class, I guess when I want to I can apply myself. Lived on the street, cold, rain, long hours, bad coffee, low pay, when you consider praying every time you heard a gun shot, a blade gleam. Slept on the floor of a homeless shelter, ate at a soup kitchen, while my apartment sat empty for weeks, months at a time. A few commendations in file, helped shutdown some traffic, end some street careers. No real awards, name never mentioned.
Did a little international travel, but again long hours, bad coffee, name never mentioned, and no awards. Now, well sit in office, some days-hit street, long hours, bad coffee, name never mentioned, no awards, different set of problems, to old for the other stuff, so leave that for the younger crowd, who’s name will never be mentioned, and of course no awards.
C'est la vie (that’s life), I guess, I haven’t really done much with it.

An attempt has been made to identify some of the qualities in which 'a Power Couple' complete each other: ...as reference in Vishnu!! He is the Preserver. She is the Goddess of Prosperity and Felicity. She is the Language. He is the Thought. She is Prudence. He is Law. He is Reason. She is Sense. She is Duty. He is Duty. He is Right. He is Author. She is Work. He is Patience. She is Peace. She is Will. She is Wish. He is Piet. She is Shore. He is Chant. She is Note. He is Fuel. She is Fire. She is Glory. She is Fire. She is Glory. He is Sun. She is Motion. He is Wind. He is Ocean. She is Shore. He is Chant, She is Day, She is Night. He is Lamp, She is Light. He is Owner, She is Wealth. He is Battle, She is Might. He is Tree, She is Wine. He is Music, She is Rhyme. He is Justice, She is Truth. He is Channel, She is Stream. He is Flagstaff, She is Flag. She is Beauty. He is Strength. She is Body. He is Soul. .... once a couple has taken the Seven Steps of life together, their union is binded by their body, mind and soul, no matter what the circumstance is: 1st step to nourish each other 2nd step to grow together in strength 3rd step to preserve our wealth 4th step to share our joys and sorrows 5th step to care for our children 6th step to be together forever 7th step to remain lifelong friends ...the perfect halves to make a perfect whole

Quality communication is the heart of intimacy. (And you thought it was sex!) If you're confused about what constitutes a high-intimacy dialogue, here's a clue: it centers on feelings, not information. "Instead of merely reporting to your partner what happened to you that day, tell her how it made you feel," says Shechtman. "Even if you have only 10 minutes a day to talk to her, make those 10 minutes count."

Icon, You seem to have problems with punctuation. Did you drop out of high school to go to NY?

Gia, spoiled at a young age, got a car from her dad at 16...did she really need a Red Fiat living in NYC...a city with no parking....what was she thinking?? Having already been advised by her step-dad, an accountant early on to use her money/power in NYC to build her mortgage for a residential investment. If she had followed up on that advice...Gia would had maintained a place of her own in NYC...which would had ensure her a residency status in Manhatten, independent of her fashion career...even if her career ended early .... Gia having to grow up so fast so soon did not have time to appreciate the value of basic livlihood? Just the other day, on Fashion Television, a 33 yr old model recounted her life as a cocaine/heroin addict...in the end, just like AJ, she had to rehab and took a journey to 3rd world country to appreciate life on its own...at this age, she is a plus size model Gia was an artist who really needed a trustworthy agent to handle her professional/personal finance...

Well I think she bought the car for two different reasons. One because she earned it......when you are bought everything as a child, it is nice to finally say, this is all mine. I bought it and that's it. Also Gia was italian, and a Fiat is an italian car. Gia liked speed, I think the car was a perfect fit. Far as saving up for a house goes.........how many people when they are 18-19 yrs old actually are thinking about that, especially when most things in their life had been handed to them. Gia was being young and having fun, she wasn't all about money....she knew it was the route of all evil....I think she was more worried about finding a woman who could live the same lifestyle as her, and be happy with only her. Gia was always giving, but not receiving what she needed to fill that void that was in her life........

Gia was deceiving in making the girls think that way but in reality she had it all...even if she couldn't receive it all from one girl, she had an alternate arrangement with another to satisfy her needs
The underlying issue was ...just like her choice of 'car'.... she had someone who was at her mercy but Gia wanted someone more exciting... you've to be somewhat spoiled to think that way...
...if Sandy had not kept her image 'elevated' on all level with Gia and just acted 'banal' .... Gia would had walked out of the relationship without feeling 'hurt'... Gia's innate drive to get what she couldn't had was just that !!! However, why spoiled the 'romance' of it all by digging so deep into the makeup of Gia

I see what you are saying.......I myself am very spoiled...and think nothing like that...but then again, we are all different. I just really think she could never find that one person, who could do it all. I think being spoiled makes you very picky, and maybe Gia's expectations of a lover, were a little high.

Gia's choice of car at 19 was 'red Fiat'... 'beauty' meant alot to Gia .... she even admitted in a magazine interview.... she looked for 'beauty' in her lover....
...that was her basis of getting hooked into her 'girls problem' she had even in Aug '86....
Sandy was Gia's 'main attraction' because of her 'profession'... as a make-up artist, she holds the key to changing the look ....and that in itself was 'an excitment' to Gia... who was an 'idol worshipper'......I mean to have someone just molds their look to whoever you want to see them in was the 'catch' of it!!
